GuySuCo Continues Community Outreach Programme to Improve Attendance on all Estates

Georgetown, 4 July, 2017

The Guyana Sugar Corporation Inc. (GuySuCo) will be continuing its Community Outreach programme for residents in ‘sugar dependent’ communities (communities in the vicinity of all estates). Community meetings will be held at Community Centres in villages where Estates are located.

The second Community Meeting will be held at the Uitvlugt Community Centre on Wednesday 5 July, 2017 at 4:00 pm. The focus for discussion at this meeting will be: The ‘Uitvlugt Estate Improvement Programme (UEIP)’.

On 6 July, 2017, another Community Meeting will be held at the Enmore Community Centre for residents in Enmore and neighbouring communities on the East Coast of Demerara. The focus for this meeting will be on ‘The Role of Communities in Improving Attendance on Estates for the Second Crop 2017’.

Subsequent meetings will be held at Rose Hall Community Centre on 18 July, Albion Community Centre on 20 July, Skeldon Community Centre on 25 July, and Blairmont Community Centre on 27 July, 2017. The focus for these meetings will be on ‘The Role of Communities in Improving Attendance on Estates for the Second Crop 2017’.

Residents are advised that all meetings will start at 4:00 pm.
